Ok, I’ve gotten bashed by lots of dog snobs online by asking this question in the past, but I thought I’d ask my FAMILY what they think.
Toby is a Silky Terrier

Leah is a Bichon Frise / Miniature Poodle mix.

If they were to make puppies, they’d be 25% Poodle, 25% Bichon Frise, and 50% Silky Terrier. I haven’t been able to find pictures of this exact mix, but I have found pics of the three breeds mixed separately.
Toby and Leah’s puppies would look similar to a mix of these three mixes:
A “Silkchon“
A “Poolky” – except this is apparently a black poodle mixed with a dark silky. Toby is dark, but Leah is blonde, not black.

and what Leah is, a “Poochon or Bichpoo“

The above pic is exactly what Leah looked like when she was a baby.
So – discuss. I already know it would be a lot of work to have puppies. And it would cost a lot. And there would be lots of poop and pee. And I would have to find a home for each of them. And that mixing them would make mutts and no one wants a mutt. And there are already lots of mutts out there that need a home, why bother creating more on purpose. I’m not brushing those things off, I just need MORE feedback besides everything those naysayers have to throw at me.
Remember, I grew up on a farm with hundreds and hundreds of animals. A little messy work and lots of loving care doesn’t scare me.

um yeah, you should definitely do that and give one to me cause that’s what sisters do for brothers… they give them stuff for free… because they’re cool… real cool…
lol but in all reality, would you really want all of that responsibility right now? i’ve always thought that a whole pile of puppies in the house would be tough…
Just say, “NOOOOOOOOOO!”
But seriously, you should definitely have homes ready for them before you ever begin. If they’re considered mutts, will people want them…besides mattomatic…

i think you know my opinion!
Looks like you’ve made up your mind on that one.
So, Lisa, do you wanna tell us what you decided to do? The world is waiting to hear!
Do the responsible thing and don’t breed them at all. There are already too many dogs that don’t have homes. They so desperately need your help or possibly face euthanasia…simple because no one wanted them. Please, PLEASE adopt before increasing the unwanted pet population.
