The road that goes to the church from the north has been fixed by private citizens. Apparently one of our own took it upon himself to help the overloaded county workers and maintain that road. Using their own tractor, blade, gravel truck, and whatever else it took, they scraped the tops off of the ruts to level it out, let it dry a little, and spread fresh gravel in the worst places. They did more blading after it dried some more. This was all done anonymously, I believe, but I happened to be on that road when I saw "someone" putting the final touches on those nasty ruts on Saturday. It's still rough to drive on, but at least it's passable now. The road from the east is another story!

I heard that the Amish have been dragging tires and boards behind their horses to try to level out the ruts. I wonder how long it will take to repair the city streets. I saw a pothole that was so bad, the steel reinforcement was sticking out. I don't take that route anymore.

Is it getting better? How'd you do driving to church yesterday?
